94.7 WCSX

THAT'S where we're doing the show now.  I couldn't believe the comment I found on here the other day.  I knew many many people were taking months to find the show.  Heard this from these old listeners themselves.  WCSX just wasn't on their radar screens for the kind of station we'd be likely to pop back up on, and not in morning drive.  The state of the economy killed any opportunity for the station to invest in any outside marketing of the show (billboards, tv or newspaper ads, etc.), so I understood it would happen this way for awhile.

But then I got this comment.  On this very blog. 

Wow, where have I been? You guys are back on the radio?!?! What station?? 

I thought this was so funny because you'd figured if ANYbody would have followed where we ended up it'd be someone who checked in here time to time.  LOL  Eh, whaddya gonna do?  So once again, I ask if the opportunity presents itself, let others know.  We're still missing people!

I want to hear from you guys.  Doing a morning show we have more guests than we used to, which is great but my favorite thing is still the interaction with real people.  No offense to actors and musicians and athletes.  To that end I want to ask you any time you'd like us to talk about a particular thing, remember you can ALWAYS email me at my comcast account.  jeffdeminski@comcast.net 

Something out of the news that you'd like us to hit is fine, but what I really love is your own personal stuff.  You're engaged and thinking about cheating on him with your ex a week before the wedding so you can "be sure".  Your wife has had a credit card for a year that she's been hiding from you and you just found out.  The stuff we'll never hear about in the news but can be damn fun to talk about.  We're here.  I'll read everything, just email me.

Show's doing pretty well by the way.  Last weekly trend (it's every week now that Arbitron has this new crazy ppm system, which stands for personal people meter) we were only 2 shares away from first in persons 25-54, and we're # 1 in men 18 - 34, so thank you!  Of course, a week from now that could all change and the only mic I'll have is the one at McDonald's, so please stick with us and keep spreadin' the word.  Kidding aside, we honestly do appreciate it.

Oh!  We're trying to set up a free movie night with us.  So many people are hurting right now.  Story just came out today that Michigan's unemployment rate jumped 1.2 % in one month and in May stood at 14.1 %.  Terrible.  So I know it doesn't change anyone's life, but to forget your troubles for a few hours we're trying to set something up for a night out for free.  I'll let you know as soon as I know.

HERE'S SOME GREAT TIMING...

So there's this kick-ass Irish Pub called Stout.  It's part of the Snooker's family of bars and restaurants.  It's on Main Street in Brighton, MI.  It's a very authentic irish pub with awesome food, great drinks and for some luck-of-the-draw reason, really hot, attractive staff.  They just opened up a patio so people can party outside now that the weather's turning nicer.  So many weeks ago, WCSX and Stout set up this night where I could go and host this grand opening kinda party for their then upcoming patio.  It was scheduled for this Friday, June 12th.  

You see where this is going, LOL.

No one knew at the time this would end up being Game 7, Redwings-Penguins, Stanley Cup Finals.  What's this city nicknamed again?  Oh, yeah.

I'll be there 7 to 9 pm, and at 10 pm they're having a bikini contest.  But now, with this most fortunate timing, I think the most important thing to point out is...yes, they have tv's inside the pub. LOL
