I thought for sure it'd be a link to a shinebox.

Sure we can get along - as soon as you stop writing insulting items about a subject you know nothing about - Cyclists. Still waiting for that apology for refering to cyclists as "bike-pants-wearing-flamers". My husband wears bike shorts and looks damn fine in them too, thank you very much. Seriously, if you said this crap on the radio you would have had a major issue on your hands.

Funny
July 16, 2008 11:06 AM
What is wrong with these people?
The man was simply expressing his frustration with something that irritates him.
I hold the opinion that old people whould not be allowed to try and use the U-Scan express lanes at supermarkets.
So what.
I'll bet each and every one of you has some little tiny petty thing that irritates you.

"Still waiting for that apology for refering to cyclists as "bike-pants-wearing-flamers"
If you don't like the fact that everyone in this great nation can express themselves freely....stop reading the damn blog. Problem solved. Good heavens, how DARE someone have an opinion that you don't agree with.
U-Scan + Elderly = Long frickin wait in line.
Wow, the biker blog is right up there with the dogs in a mall fury. Ok, then there was that time that Jeff told everyone he was gonna hack off his dogs tail in his garage..lolol (was a joke of course). Although you didn't get as much hatred over that.
I guess generalizing bikers as homo's is worse than puppy mutilation.
Who'd a thunk it?

I have plenty of things that annoy me - currently one of them is Jeff Deminski and his comment about "bike pants wearing flamers". Still waiting for that apology Jeff.
I have a subject for you - Fansion Stinger (I'm sure I spelled her name wrong) why did she get fired???
July 16, 2008 3:08 PM
HAHAHAHA The answer is NO, we can NOT all get along. Anonymous- go hug a tree somewhere else. If you wanna ride your bike in the middle of the road on a busy street where it's just plain dangerous that go right ahead. I am sorry that your gay husband wears spandex pants, but I am so glad Jeff finally addressed this. It's times like this I wish there WAS still a show so he COULD say this shit on air because it needs to be said!! And I think 90% of listeners would agree anyways! Jeff, don't apologize!! Next time some spandex wearing flamer on a bike gives you shit- go all "dog in a mall" on his ass!!
July 16, 2008 4:58 PM
Jeff, don't let the pussies get to you.
Bike riders are IN GENERAL idiots and rude asses, and we intelligent folk know you were talking about them and not every single goddamn bikerider in the world.
July 16, 2008 5:11 PM
"Still waiting for that apology Jeff."
Why? Apologize for calling somebody badly dressed? For calling somebody gay? For daring to say that a gay person might be badly dressed?
Really? You are personally insulted by that?
This is political correctness run amuck and it's pathetic.
It's called Freedom of Speech. You are free not to listen or read. You do not have the right to censor or demand a retraction just because you're overly sensitive.
July 16, 2008 6:14 PM
Hey Jeff - Ever hear the joke about being able to tell if somebody graduated from UofM - because they will tell you within the first 10 seconds of meeting you...... well that applies to bikers too. And once they tell you this, run because you know the rest of their conversation is going to be about THEM. These people are so self absorbed and live in their own little universe where everything revolves around them. I mean have you ever seen a group of people so offended and outraged by one of your rants as this and replied with such nastiness and insults?? The 99.9% of us non-bikers are all fat slob assholes I guess?? What a joke.
I guess BMX and Schwinn won't be future advertisers on your show when you guys are back!! Too bad.
July 16, 2008 6:40 PM
Maybe the guy in his car is in a hurry because he's a doctor on the way to the hospital to perform some emergency operation on some guy-bikers injured vagina......
July 16, 2008 6:53 PM
Oh my dear lord, Jeff! You've lost the critical "suburban cyclist" demographic! How will D&D ever get back on the air in Detroit now?
July 16, 2008 7:58 PM
Hmm, it seems that all you people who are mad at Jeff need to get those bugs out of your asses.
You obviously have no idea how annoying bikers (aka YOU!) can be.
Now stop your crying and pick a less gay hobby.

"If you don't like the fact that everyone in this great nation can express themselves freely....stop reading the damn blog. Problem solved. Good heavens, how DARE someone have an opinion that you don't agree with."
Good heavens, how DARE someone have the gall to disagree with someone else's opinion. I'm shocked... SHOCKED, I tell you!
"Freedom of speech" isn't a one-way street, nor does it equal "freedom from the consequences of speaking one's mind"... the consequence being that someone else might disagree (and quite strongly) with what you've said. It seems that you want to be able to be nasty and insulting without having to run the risk of someone being nasty and insulting right back. Well, too goddamn bad.
Jeff spoke his mind. He made some valid points. Unfortunately, those points were completely overshadowed when he chose to let his temper overrule his common sense. He's now facing the consequences of his actions, i.e. people being pissed off over his being nasty and insulting. This could all be over with if he'd stop being stubborn like Kwame and apologized for (or at least expressed some regret over) his unfortunate choice of words. He doesn't have to be sorry for his opinions, but he could at least show some remorse over HOW he expressed them (i.e. like a bigoted jerk).

Appreciate it, Scott! If you ever have another cyst that needs to be lanced, I'M YOUR MAN!
July 16, 2008 9:42 PM
Hey Salem,
Are you still bitter because you lost the WRIF mindless job? Aww, to bad guess you weren't pretty enough to get all the big fat loser guys votes on the WRIF website. So I guess you have to go back to your street corner.

THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!
Seriously, it is crazy to think that he would have to apologize for his opinions.
I think it is absurd that people think they are going to go through their entire life without being insulted in some way or another.. build a bridge and get over it and get on with your life, just because you don't agree you demand an apology!! I hope you sit on your high horse for a long long time waiting for that apology!
July 18, 2008 12:07 AM
You got offended by that? Go read some less offensive blog. What did you expect? Opinions are not shared by all. Bicyclists can be obnoxious, drivers can be obnoxious. People have a right to rant. Grow a pair and let it go. Pansies.

Hey! To all of you that don't agree with Deminski or have issues with his opinions, here's an idea...Stop reading his blog! In case you have not already heard, this is JEFF DEMINSKI'S blog. Not yours. If you don't like his opinion, go get your daily dose of blogging somewhere else! Seriously people!!!
July 24, 2008 1:41 PM
As a "flamer" myself (although I do not ride a bike nor wear spandex) I can say that I took no offense to Jeff's comment.
He owes an apology to nobody. Keep waiting!
