HEY PITTSBURGH...
GO HOME AND GET YOUR F'ING SHINE BOX!
Congratulations to the Detroit Red Wings!!!
What a killer finish. Down to the wire, puck flirting near the goal line dancing right by Osgood as the clock expires, but it wasn't Pittsburgh's year. It was Detroit's. And how about that weird 3rd goal for the Red Wings which to me looked like it was kicked in off Fleury's left ass cheek. How funny is that? Your own ass cheek dooms your team from bringing it into overtime. After three years of playoff disappointment for the Pistons and a terrible year so far for the Tigers it's nice to see Detroit win another championship. Way to go guys!

Thank GOD I didn't have to stay up for another triple overtime disappointment. Nice to see you won the "I'm gonna be first to post a blog" race... I'd hate to have to play the merge game on the Reuther with you. I'd totally get my front end clipped.
THE STANLEY CUP IS BACK IN HOCKEYTOWN BITCHES!!!!!!!

Homer did say shit. But the best was when channel 4 was interviewing Brett Lebda in the locker room, someone handed him the cup, He raised it and said "Fuckin Rocks" on live tv. Gotta love when a Wing drops the F bomb on live tv.

Fantastic! I was at the bar for Game 6, and the whole place was up in arms. Good times for Detroit.
Now, maybe the Lions will show some promise this season...or at least my Spartans.
P.S. --> Second on getting those drops in.

At the risk of sounding thin skinned, the following was posted to our web site today:
Jay Leno: Douche Bag
Today we welcome Jay Leno, douche bag extraordinaire, as honorary member of the Death Pool Wish List. Jay opened his June 5th monologue by congratulating the Detroit Red Wings on their Stanley Cup victory. He then immediately proceeded into a series of anti-Detroit jokes.
Hey Jay – 1984 called – it wants its material back. Way to keep it fresh – talk about rioting in Detroit. Did you write that yourself, or did you actually pay someone? For the record, the entire city has been celebrating and partying in peace and harmony since the victory. There haven’t been any riots here since 1967, and the last cop car that was burned was 1984 and hey - even that was just one car. In fact, the last riot I recall was in Los Angeles, which I believe is your neck of the woods.
The economy here has been a bit rough because it has been based on manufacturing since the dawn of the motorized vehicle, which you appear to have at least some degree of reverence for, and the victory of our beloved hockey team did much to lift our spirits. Detroit doesn’t have any problems that any other major city doesn’t have, and rubbing salt into the wounds of a great city, especially in absence of any tangible reason, is unkind, unsporting, mean-spirited and ultimately inaccurate and dishonorable.
So Jay, on behalf of the great city of Detroit, and from the very depths of my heart: Fuck you and please die soon.

I was down at Hockeytown working and I'll tell you what, Controlled Chaos. Everybody enjoyed themselves responsibly, so I couldn't have asked for a better celebration.

I was really missing you guys when Kwame took the stage and was promptly booed off. I'd have loved to hear your take on the mayor congratulating the "Wed Wings"
And Terrence - I was at Hockeytown right after the parade, and you're right, that place was hoping! The mood in there was amazing.
