STANLEY CUP
As Detroit gets ready for Pittsburgh the Free Press put this silly and oddly addictive game on their website, so here's the link. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080522/MULTI/80522108/0/SPORTS02
Nothing to do with hockey whatsoever (if anything it is closer to Home Run Derby) but hard to stop trying to beat your high score. My high score is 321.
For those who continue to ask, yes Bill Doyle and I are still living right here in metro Detroit, still waiting out our non-compete to return to the air, and still missing you all daily. If you'd like to write either one or both of us directly rather than posting comments for all to see, our email links are found in the right margin. Have a great holiday weekend!

My high score was 320.5. Now my husband and 7 yr old son are taking turns whacking the penguin!

Somebody emailed me this game a couple Christmases ago. The highest I could ever get was in the 320s.

Jeff,
Thanks for the link to the great time waster. I don't think I'll be able to beat you score though. It's nice to know that you guys are still kicking around here in Detroit. We are all looking forward to hearing the gang again soon.

Hey Jeff.....did you notice what the monster is hitting with the bat? A penguin. Get it? Pittsburgh Penuins. That is what ties into the Redwings I guess.

The highest I could get today was 321. I heard that Gary Sheffield gave it a try and the highest he could manage was 202.

Hi Jeff,
I understand that you are waiting for the year. Have you been in talks with any stations to return to the air (1 year + a day)?
Thanks
Ryan

I'm so glad you guys are sticking it out and staying in Detroit. I live in Florida now (moved 3 months ago) so I hope you guys stream the show or have podcasts when you return. In fact - why don't you guys do a podcast now in the meantime? What are Rudy and Beaver doing?

321 also.

322.9 for me. Kind of a dubious distinction to say I can whack the penguin better than most people I know.
Jeff and Bill, You guys were/are a breath of fresh air to the talk radio genre. I hope your show returns at the same time Barack is being sworn in. That's the kind of change that will make me feel good about Detroit and my country.
