HANDS-ON MUSEUM
For those of you with kids, if you've never been to it, you MUST bring them to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. Stacee and I thought about bringing our kids there a few months ago but I wasn't sure from checking them out online if a 3 and a 1 year old would get much out of it. Well we were passing through Ann Arbor over the weekend and last minute thing we decided to stop for lunch then find the place. It is amazing. Seriously. We've been to the Detroit Science Center which is fine, but if you have very young kids like us the Ann Arbor Hands-On is ten times better. They're at 220 E. Ann Street. Runs parallel to Huron; pretty easy to find. If you want it here's their website. http://www.aahom.org/

Looks like a cool place for the young ones. I've still got a couple more years until I can bring my little one (who hasn't been concieved yet) there, but I'll keep it in mind!

When my sons were young lads, we went there many times. Both even did class trips there from preschool through 5th grade.

AAHOM is definitely cool...I miss living there! If you ever get to Grand Rapids, their children's museum is pretty awesome too.

Thanks Jeff - great idea. If you have time, visit the Cranbrook Science Center in Bloomfield Hills. My 2-year-old had a blast, as did my 3-year-old nephew! The planetarium was pretty cool too... even if it wasn't a laser light show and I was reminded that I'm a grown-up now...

We were there a couple years ago. Do they still have the Laser harp?

On my way to work this morning on 8 mile and I saw a flatbed truck hauling a rusty green dumpster with the name "Desantis" spray painted on the back and side in white letters. Did I just witness D&D memorabilia?
:-( I miss you guys.

Also, if you are in the mood for a road trip, we visited COSI in Toledo with my 5 year old. They also have sports oriented stuff that the adults got hooked trying to compete against each other on. Like how high is yuor vertical leap? How fast is your fast ball? Etc. Do that with lunch at teh original Tony Packo's on Front St!
