I was layoff off from a job after 3 years of employment and I was devastated at the time. Now I work for a with a healthy work environment and better pay and benefits. Getting fired was one of the best things that ever happened to me and I hope it is a blessing in disguise for you. Rudy was probably just an afterthought to the station and that is a shame.

My own take on this situation was that you wernt fired, but strongly encouraged to leave, basically given a poor offer and moved to the morning hours to make it harder for you to operate. I could not make sense of the morning show hours. With Drew and Mike in strong control of the same audience demographic you guys appealed too, to me it seemed it was a way to hurt your ratings. Myself, along with several of my friends found ourselves switching back and forth from 101 to you, resulting in about 50% less time listening to your show. No one I knew could make sense of the move. When it happened I recall thinking you did not have much more time with the station, knowing that it coincidently was now a SPORTS ONLY station. I figured since your show had such good ratings, they reluctently let you stay on for time being. Besides, it seemed so wrong not having you as that afternoon show all of us came to love.

P.S. Some of my most memorable bar experiences were at your listener parties. I will miss you guys a lot and I doubt you will ever be replaced.

Hey, Jeff. Glad to see that you've got at least some venue to reach the fans.

Can't wait for you guys to be back on Detroit radio, but the wait is killing me!

I am amazed at how much I miss not hearing your show. My son and I listened after school, and even he knew you guys like he know other friends of the family. Please, Please keep us posted on how or where we can hear what you and the crew are up to. Is Rudy still doing his Mind Candy gig's? How about Beaver, are you all going to remain a team? Well, best of luck to you, and know that your listeners considered you all friends, and we miss you! Hey, what if we all paid for a priviate show???? I'd pitch in!!!

Great to see that you're still active in the community. After listening to you for years and years, I can't stand listening to other talk shows. I tried listening to the new morning show, but I just get mad and pop in a CD when they use your music beds as intros. "Freedom Rock" :)

Hey D&D I miss you guys so much. I must admit that I was so angry when they moved you to mornings but then it turned out that I could listen to your whole show whereas the afternoons I could only listen on my 1/2 hr commute. Now my mornings just aren't the same without you guys. Like the other person that commented, I tried listening to the replacement show, but they are like copycats and are doing it very badly I might add. Hey I heard Nicole Salem doing traffic on 89 X lol Please keep us informed of when and where you're coming back

I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss you guys - All of you. Doyle you always cracked me up the most - you played the best drops in the most appropriate places. I did miss the Oh Crap it's that pipsqueak Rudy drop that you used to play. It took me awhile to find this blog but I'm sure glad that I did. Thanks for making my commutes so much more enjoyable. I am looking forward to the day when I can hear you guys again, whether you come back on the Detroit airwaves next year or whether I hear you via podcasts from somewhere. As another commenter said earlier, you guys ar a class act and you are missed.

Hi Jeff, Bill, Rudy and Beaver...I am so out of your demo and found myself turning all my co-workers into D&D fans. Your families became ours and we miss you... listening to NPR is what it's come down to on my 45 mintue commute home each night. Please, "take the deal" if there is one and come back to afternoon radio in Detroit!
